After online admission process, the classes of Class XI starts offline
After the one-and-a-half-month online admission process, the classes in class 11 across the country started from Sunday. Through this, 1.3 million students are entering the college premises.
To welcome the students, fresher receptions have been held in various colleges of the capital since morning. Meanwhile, the Dhaka Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has instructed the college authorities to keep a watchful eye so that the freshers do not be victims of ragging or harassment in any way.
This year, more than 12 lakh 90 thousand students were selected by applying for college admission in three stages. After the one and a half month online application process, the admission started on September 26 and continued till October 5.
However, 12 thousand 593 students including 662 who got GPA-5 after the three stage application did not get any college for admission. In view of their application, the Inter Education Board Coordination Committee has given the opportunity to apply online in the fourth phase from October 8. At this stage, students can apply for admission today Sunday (October 8) and tomorrow Monday (October 9) from 8 am to 11 pm.
Earlier, the results of SSC and equivalent exams were published on July 28. 16 lakh 41 thousand 140 people passed in 11 education boards. A total of 1 lakh 83 thousand 578 people got GPA-5 among them. More than 2000 students passed the re-verification of results.
